He started practicing sports at the age of ten. His football experience lasted only two weeks with JS Kairouan, after which he transitioned to judo. In 2013, he won a bronze medal at the Tunisian Judo Championship in the semi-pro -66 kg category, followed by a gold medal in the same championship and weight category in 2014. He later discovered mixed martial arts (MMA) through a YouTube video and went on to develop experience across multiple combat sports. He became an ADCC African Champion in the -70 kg Super Fight and also gained experience in Bare Knuckle Boxing.
